The rare White Crookstems maximum
height is listed in some places as high as 48 feet with 10 to
30 feet average. Maximum 3 inch diameter thick glossy dark green
stalks (culms) with thick sheaths having knotted bristles. White
Crookstem is a clumping bamboo which spreads vigorously by runners.
Its leaves are broad lance-shaped, shiny, deep green up to 8
inches long.
