Holly or Eagleston Holly
Eagleson Holly is a cultivar hybrid between
Ilex opaca and Ilex cassine that loves part shade to full sun
settings. The Eagleson Holly makes a nice decorative screen with
it's 20-30 foot average height and decorative red berries or
fruit. Leaves are 1 to 3 inches long, elliptic to oblong-ovate,
and are less spiny than classic hollies. Needs rich, slightly
acidic garden soil and good drainage. The Eagleson Holly is low
maintenance and it's berry is poisonous to human, gender is female.
A very pretty Holly that had very dark green leaves and grows
into a pyramidal shape. it does best in acid, moist soil.
